Those of you who are in the know are well aware that Old Man Winter has arrived… via the Cape Cod Beer brewery. That’s right, a very pleasing and belly warming beer made with an abundance of malt and unfortunately, only available at the brewery. Of course, those of you who are even more in the know may have enjoyed it at last week’s tasting. Don’t miss any more of these lovely opportunities to belly up to the Grain & Vine tasting bar at our Friday night beer tastings from 5-7pm. This week’s tasting is Belgian Flavors. Check out the calendar for more…they’re listed through February.

Now, we’re hoping you get out and catch this Thursday’s Organic Wine tasting or Sunday’s American Whiskey tasting. However, if you are cooking up a storm in hopes of warming up your bones and settling into hibernation, we are calling for your help. Have you noticed? Foodie’s Corner is starving! Its belly is literally growling as starting a business and two small children strand me in a world of mac ’n chesse. So send in your menus and recipes. Those lucky chef’s whose recipes are selected will be featured on our website, along with their delicious concoctions. I will pair them with wine and/or beer and post them in a grateful Foodie’s Corner.

Now get out there! Go sledding, support those local businesses and restaurants that brave the Cape Cod winter and since you can’t make a snowman out of beer, I suggest you drink it: preferably with your feet up by the fire.

Good tidings and a happy winter…this is Alan signing off.
